Thanks for the mention in your show notes. Gerry Mangano told me to ask you about your trip to Italy where you ended up way out in the countryside at night following a guy to his barn full of Vespa’s. Danny had told me this story a while back too, and they both said to ask you about it.

Yes, the “go with two strangers into the county side with no idea who they are or where you are going” story. I am planning to talk about that on one of the up coming shows, just an example of how an obsession can cloud any good judgment you may have. On this particular Vespa search, up to a certain point I was sure that I would be headline news the next day, “Foolish American disappears with no trace”. The ending to the story is a good one…of the “incredible barn find” myth we all hear about, but more details later.
