Well, it has been 48 hours since I have returned from New York and Podcamp. It was an inspiring event with many of the great names in podcasting attending, giving me the opportunity to meet people like Jason VanOrden, Chris Penn , Chris Brogan, Adam Varga, Vergel Evans, and many more. I have returned with new exuberance along with several new ideas and a better understanding of my newbie mistakes.
I have come to recognize that podcasting, somewhat like blogging is a new medium, more related to the elements that make social relationships important, rather than being a repetition of traditional radio. Through Podcamp NYC I have become more aware of the need to be transparent, given that podcasting is not just conveying information, it is a unique, personal two-way conversation, with you the listener. Taking this into consideration, I am inviting more opportunities for comments and dialogue, by making it easier for you to post on the site (no registration needed) and within the next week, offering you a way to leave voice mail comments at the website that I will play on the podcast.
My apologies to those of you cut off from your SCTRCST itunes subscription. My attempts to redirect the feed have messed this up, but I hope to have it repaired within the next few days. This should be just in time for the next SCTRCST episode, which features an interview with Steve Williams from Scooter in the Sticks. Thanks again for your patience. Talk with you soon!
