A long travel day, with lots of ipod shows
Richmond to Seattle to Port Angeles, it’s like traveling from one planet to the next. Marcel left from Cincinnati and I from Richmond and we met up in Seattle, where we hightailed to directly to Pike Street Market for a bowl of Jack’s Chippino (italian fish soup). On the way back to the car, we happened upon Turkish Delight, one of my old favorite sweet shops.
As we take the ferry across Puget Sound and head for home, I am reminded of how the pace of life here follows the seasons and is slowed by the inconvenience of land and water. But it is a welcomed relief and I am already enjoying being away. Today I stopped to say hello to Bill S. (Little Billy’s Scooter Tales) and he gives me a tour of the new Hartinagle’s Building Supply, a remodelers’ paradise. Tomorrow we are planning to meet and hopefully I will have some of our conversation recorded for this week’s show. Yes, it is good to be home again.
